Sticky Ball

Stopped raining for a while
so we could enjoy our Sunday Stroll.

Picked this up to show you:
I have been calling these "sticky balls"
People here refer to them as "gummy balls" or "Gum Balls"

last week - we were adventuring in heavy rain.
We saw one other person.
She was cleaning up the street in from of her yard.
She was using a "nut gathering tool."

I'd never seen anything like it before.
Learning enough to share with you
I see there are different tools manufactured for this.
It simply amazed me.

(there isn't a need for these things in our immediate neighborhood)

It's fun to know.
If we had them in our neighborhood, I'd certainly use one
because walking on these things aren't much fun.

Okay, that's enough crazy from me today.

Leap!

Netflix Night

Leap!
This animated feature film is enjoyed globally.
It has a couple of different names,
for me it was "Leap!"

Yes, the story line is predictable
But really well done
and every frame was a joy to watch.

Walking in the Wacky Woods

We were excited to get out for a real walk.
Lately it's been frigid and iced over.
Yesterday we managed a short, cautious stroll.
Today, we put on our Wacky Sculpture Park I.D.
and took to the trails.
The pupster has her own membership
But, she allows me to wear the tag.

Blue Dog Tree
(giggle)

Winter has expressed ItSelf

along the trail

Nobody home.

There were workmen out doing repairs, even creating a new trail,
and some of the art installations are being moved around.

Only one other pup walking a person.
Happy dogs
with tails held high.

Des Peres Park - (girl & dog share a walk with you)

No, we are NOT "walking the plank."
We like to add extra steps to our walk - so, we check out the lake,
No ducks today.
The ice is almost melted.
Des Peres Park is kinda close to home.
It's especially good for a stroll, if we are going to do chores afterwards.
It sits in a busy neighborhood.
There's a Lutheran Church kinda hiding it from view.
If you're there at lunch time, you might hear a bell concert from the church tower.
Here's the reason we took our teeny camera for a walk with us.
If we look closely - we can see the trees are beginning to celebrate.
