Sourdough Wars

I receive emails offering titles to read that are so far removed from my everyday that it's fun to check them out.  I read Sourdough Wars by Julie Smith.
Heaven knows what I'll be entertaining myself with next.

Wednesdays are my longest days.
By the time my puppy & i get home
we attend to creature needs
(our cat will be waiting for us)
and chill
Last Wednesday I watched
It was classy, the music was great, the art spectacular
and it had dignity.
A sweet nightcap
after the fur family had treats, of course.
Pupster and her friend
Our next door neighbor pup visits often.
He comes to play in our yard, have cookies, drink water, check out the cat . . .
He simply knows he is welcome
My girl always wants him to stay.

They are happy kids.

Sunday Night Ramble . . .

I don't know the source for this girl & dog
They sure look like storybook creatures

Last week someone asked if I'd consider offering dance lessons
(took it as a compliment)

I've had extra "work" opportunities lately
(if you can consider what i do "work")
Sure am grateful
This is one of my own photos
Seems I take plenty of bench pictures

hmmm . . .

The Wee Heavies (video)

They are performing here soon
on an evening I'll be encouraging
young people to read

my heart is sure happy children learn to read
People sing together like this

Fifty Acres and a Poodle by Jeanne Marie Laskas

“Rarely has a city girl transformed herself into a country goddess with such humor.”
–Rita Mae Brown

Currently Reading:

started reading - didn't want to put it down
making myself do other things so it will last a day or two.

How 'bout you?
got a good summer read to share?

Happy Mail

Ongoing project -
painting postcards
 sending them to mailboxes
with happy messages

Missed the film when it was in theaters
watched it last night
(video official trailer for the feature film "Loving.")
There's a lot to think about
I won't get sappy
I was thrilled to see, among the investors
"I absolutely don't care about my looks and I'm so used to them that I wouldn't change a thing. I would end up missing my defects."
- Colin Firth

pretty sure that's five
