Do i have anything to share this week?
Last week there was a blogger outage.

Been listening to people of Faith.
Color me Encouraged.

My pupster wonders why she can't keep the dog next door.
He comes over to play, but always goes home again.

Mercy and Fabulous Stories

There is a Retreat Center
I used to visit often
because a wonderful artist would invite me to spend time
Saturday I decided to walk their labyrinth,
and share it with you.
Thank you, Sisters of Mercy,

I am finally brave enough to apply for a new permanent/part time position.

We've had a few "gully-washers."
 (Super Duper Rain Storms)
My pupster & I managed to ride way out in the county
in between storms and enjoy a couple miles of nature walk.
yippee!

Visited a teeny cemetery being cared for by the city of Crestwood, MO and the D.A.R.
Kept meaning to share this place, it sits in an unusual spot.
When I finally took the time
I learned a lot of fabulous life stories

Hope You Are Smiling

Hope Your Day Is Marvelous

Hope You Find A Happy New Adventure

And
A Brand New Thought To Think

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile,
a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential to turn a life around."

I am reading:

haven't finished - can't give away the ending (yet)
it's a good time to tell you about the reading adventure

It takes place after the Civil War
and we are traveling through Texas
because
A war veteran - retired, gentleman - having lost everything because of the war -
makes a living by reading newspaper stories
to crowds of fascinated people.
His presentations cost a dime per person.
He is worth it.

He has been asked and hired to transport a girl
- who was taken from her original family
and raised by the Kiowa -
to relatives.
The adventure expected to take three weeks going
and three weeks returning.

Written by Paulette Jiles

This book called to me from a shelf in our county library.
Have a library card?
I suggest you might enjoy this book

Wisdom & Love Triumph in this True Story

Want to tell you about a feature film I saw called
"A United Kingdom."
The film is gorgeous, the story TRUE -
had me holding my coat like a teddy bear
believing the best
How People, given opportunity, will move together
towards a better world.
Also shows the power of Journalism, used for Good.
It is playing in my favorite theater -
there were only a handful of people when I attended
So - Giving you the "heads up."

Fountain and Five

Like this picture.
Central West End, St. Louis.
good camera day . . . giggle

Slightly overwhelmed
tackling changes - one step at a time

Gonna get my hair trimmed this morning
first time in over two years . . . it's long-ish

Haven't been to my favorite theater in a while
might be time for a feature film

Enjoyed a story time,
filled with teeny people from other nations
Parents held hands around the circle, because they were having so much fun
smiling, watching their children share
using our hearts, laughter is the same in every language.

tiny scribble

kept this tiny scribble a lot of years
pasted in a scrapbook
telling myself
a tale of hope

Reminding myself
tore pages out of a study journal
and painted the same story again

High Recommend

Rented from Netflix - but I've noticed there are plenty of other options.
It's beautiful and Uplifting.

There was a concerning destructive act at an old cemetery here.
Countless people from all around the nation moved restore
and provide for protection in the future

A sea of people gathered to hold one another close
chase fear away

Headstones were put right - with the help of big equipment
and trained helpers

Our Vice president arrived and helped rake leaves
Outcome?  Surprising GOOD

Grateful Willie Nelson has resumed concert tour . . .

From CNN:
The country singer's publicist told CNN on Monday that Nelson will be performing as scheduled at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo on February 16, after several canceled concerts.

Though he did not attend the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Nelson won the award for best traditional pop vocal album for "Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin."
The 83-year-old's concert on Thursday will kick off the remainder of his
"Willie Nelson & Family Tour," which includes 27 upcoming dates.

Five

Time to create new art - this has been on my wall a long time.
(from my altered book project)

Haven't visited "The Garden" in awhile.

Attending a Conference next week.  Intend to return refreshed.

Looking forward to visiting Your Blog.
Moments from now I'll be clicking on your links at Willy-Nilly.

It's cold-ish.  I always do "contrast and compare."  It always help to "get over myself."  There was a week when the warmest was 4 degrees (yep, four degrees) - so, this morning at 24 degrees is "balmy" - right?  Puppy Gets Her Adventures.

Truly Surprising

There's a lot to find about and by him

encouragement
reminders
and

ask me again . . .

me

Wonder where the dog is . . .

Grandfather made a rule I should always have canine company.
Grandfather didn't speak much.  His words were honored.

There are always companions.  Sometimes a cat.  Once a Bobcat.

I am not speaking to the photographer.
(yes, i still remember why . . . giggle)

Marching Away

2016 has officially marched away

There is a television station that plays programs my dad enjoyed

time for some quiet
an ice storm will keep me home for a few days

YES!  my puppy and i went for a walk this morning
we didn't head home until the freezing drops began

I don't remember where you are . . .

There is a willy-nilly place
but, I've lost you
STILL
1.  There's a new law in Missouri allowing for many more guns to be carried

2.  On New Years Eve local musicians posted where they were  -
and how much gunfire was going on
It was concerning.

3.  A Long time ago my Great Grandmother talked to me about "Protection."

4.  She gave me a long hat pin with an amethyst on the end.

5.  I Miss her, and the pin, and the idea that a hat pin was all that was needed to stay safe.
