Commentary by Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan:

Every kind of power lies in this one thing which we call by the simple name: love. Charity, generosity, kindness, affection, endurance, tolerance, and patience -- all these words are different aspects of one; they are different names of only one thing: love.

i wish we used love more often than anger or hatred.

And it is these types of love that I wish to experience more. I often felt the anger and hatred of others, and that brought forth the same in me. But an act of kindness or affection can heal all that negative. I wish more people would come out of their shells and dole out these types of love on everyone they meet, it does make a profound difference in the world, as a whole!
