Crabby Appleton - before she got cold
“In practical living Illumination follows both Intuition and Idealism. Our intuition helps us to form a series of steps to climb. Each step in turn is an ideal; each ideal is more advanced, and more satisfying to our highest psychic self. An ideal may start with health, with personal well-being. Then it may advance to a consideration of the welfare of others, the service of society and then gradually broaden with greater understanding. The idealism prepares the consciousness for Illumination.” Ralph M. Lewis

While we have the gift of life, it seems to me that only tragedy is to allow part of us to die - whether it is our spirit, our creativity, or our glorious uniqueness.

I will love the light for it shows me the way;
Yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the star

Ideals are like stars: you will not succeed in touching them with your hands,
but like the seafaring man on the ocean desert of waters,
you choose them as your guides, and following them,
you reach your destiny.

To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven.
            -- Karen Sunde

Love is an unusual thing, don't you think?  I saw this quote and immediately started missing Bud the Border Collie, who went home to God a long time ago.  I looked him up and found a few posts I wrote all about him.  If I pulled out the storage disks, i would find plenty more.

Do you remember those?  Used to need an "A" drive to use them.  Rarely see a computer with an "A" drive, hm?

Now I consider Great Grandmother, who was so ahead of her time.  When i was deeply into crochet, knitting, embroidery, she was so "in" to the future.  She would LOVE this era, she would not merely Thrive, she would lead, in her own way.

Oh yes, I have heaven in my heart forever because i have experienced love.  Not like a "Harlequin Romance," perhaps - but some have passed through my life story that continue to lift me even today . .

I might not get to see them for lunch - But, my heart holds them -

Love - very unusual thing -

What do you think?

World of Wondrous

I gave a talk this morning about Wonder
When i finally got home,
I got to watch this movie.
"Mirror, Mirror"
Which i liked way more than I thought i would

I had time to read some of my Blogger Friends Posts
and found
Eye Witness account of Wonder

It is, Indeed a "World of Wondrous"

I hope everyone of you enjoyed an astonishing
Marvelous, Wonder-filled Day!

(ps - there's a Bollywood style number during the credit role that had me dancing around the room)

It looks very small
I wonder
Would i fit
with maybe a cat and a dog?

It could be my house

I wonder where it is

I think about how there are certain people who come into your life and leave a mark. The ones who are as much a part of you as your own soul. Their place in your heart is tender; a bruise of longing, a pulse of unfinished business. Just hearing their names pushes and pulls at you in a hundred ways, and when you try to define those hundred ways, describe them even to yourself, words are useless. If you had a lifetime to talk, there would still be things left unsaid.

Waiting for the #97 Bus - Delmar Loop - U. City. MO

EVERY path may lead you to God, even the weird ones. Most of us are on a journey. We’re looking for something, though we’re not always sure what that is. The way is foggy much of the time. I suggest you slow down and follow some of the side roads that appear suddenly in the mist.

"Death should be regarded only as a relay in our journey; we reach it with exhausted horses, and we pause to get fresh ones able to carry us farther. But we must also pay what is due for the stage, already travelled, and until the account is settled, we are not allowed to go forward."

You do the choosing, the Law does the outlining. This is the distinction between choice and outline. If you choose to plant a tomato seed you have chosen a tomato plant, but you do not outline how many leaves shall grow on the plant, how many stalks it shall have. That belongs to the Law of cause and effect.

"If you would know a mystic, do not confine your search to monasteries and temples, but look also on the highways and byways, in towns, hamlets, and in the hustle and bustle of the great cosmopolitan centers of the world. When you find someone who is industrious, studious, compassionate, loved by friends, and neighbours, tolerant in religious views, and who can point out to you the magnificence and efficacy of God in the simplest of things, you have found a mystic. With these qualities, whether one is attired in sacerdotal robe or in the overalls of a mechanic, one is none the less a mystic."

"As the aim of all human beings is to perfect ourselves, constantly endeavor to awaken the virtues of the soul that animates each of us. In doing so, we each contribute to our own evolution while serving all of humanity."

Know what i find amazing?
There are still people all around us
who have never been told.

Here it is, the 21st Century
and the news has not yet made it
to everyone

As Troubadour -
(don't think i ever relinquish the title, ya'll)
I accept the quest to spread the Truth

As Maggid
It's My Mission

As me
(I'll borrow from Churchill)

reminding us
Divine Love
is Our Truth

I was studying

I needed to get some work done
Got a little driven trying to find a few treasures
Looking for something different to inspire students
and found this:

The Holy One put on a white garment
and the radiance of Majesty
Illuminated the world
from one end to the other

-R. Samuel bar Nahman
(about Gen 1: 3-4)

"Be generous towards those who are in need or less favored than you. Arrange things every day so that you do at least one good deed for someone else. Whatever your good deed, do not boast, but thank God for enabling you to contribute to the well-being of others."

Thanks to the artist - pyler_pu - for sharing this -

I'd like to add
Blessed are all the people brave enough to share themselves
Their Unique Understandings
(yep, this takes a special sort of bravery)

I'd like to remind us
we are all in this together
If we could understand each other
(if we could accept each other)

Well, what a vision we'd share, hm?

Limitless Love!

I'm certain this is for me
a reinforcement, so to speak

encouraging me to hold steady
to "Model Truth.'

I know i can trust The Holy One
to guide and support

I am Thrilled
by all the ways
this Guidance and Support shows up

We Are Not Alone
All Is Well
