To gain that which is worth having, it may be necessary to lose everything else.
-- Burnadette Devlin, The Price of My Soul, 1969

 thank you doesn't come close
it's all i got

People are all over the world telling their one dramatic story
and how their life has turned into getting over this one event.
Now their lives are more about the past than their future.

Finally We Are No OneImage via Wikipedia

Have you done this?
I have.
I hope to be finally past it-
well, honestly,
I think i am finally clearing this phase
maybe i can just see the clearing in the distance

A Clearing. A sunlit clearing in Ladymuir Wood...Image via Wikipedia

I hope NEVER to allow this
living in the past
overtake me again.

Of course, in managing this
I get to accept
and fully embrace
my new reality

(whatever that may be)

We are not posing - honest.Image via Wikipedia

Then again,
haven't you been with me
all the while

me claiming over & over
I needed to get a new life???

So, to borrow a sales phrase

Just Do It.

Tibetan endless knot

I was taught to keep silent.
I was taught
Inner Silence
 leads to spiritual strength.
I successfully
practiced this wisdom
for many years

Arriving here
I was good for the first, maybe ten years

people complained.
People became mean spirited
when i did not conform to their desires

I tried to walk a considerate path
and shared as much as possible
But, no matter how much
I said
or gave away freely
people still complained
the more i gave
the angrier they became

What's up with that, i wonder?

Eventually, compromising what i knew to be true
I allowed those complainers
to take away everything

I was left without
even the minimum to keep myself

 angry people continue
to try taking what i no longer have to offer.

I have no complaints.
(it was my own error)
The Principles still apply
 every need has been supplied
with skills and understanding
have arrived to hold me up
assist me to stand again

I have entered back into the Holy Silence
that was once my home
I have been welcomed home
I'm once again Safe, Secure and Satisfied

Life is beginning to flow again

like barnacles off a ship
the refuse that still clings
is being removed
with only as much force as is necessary

Today i read this from Yehuda Berg:
Yehuda Berg in Punta del Este - iPad as Spirit...
Sometimes saying nothing
is more powerful than saying something.
Today, ask yourself,
“What’s more effective -
speaking  or shutting up?”

The one that masters their mouth, masters their spiritual path.

perfect reminder
lovely thought
I pass it along to you.

We owe something to extravagance, for thrift and adventure seldom go hand in hand.

Once in a while you have to take a break and visit yourself.

This Morning:

I watched the ongoing reports from Joplin
They showed the faces of rescued creatures (pets)
Hoping these four footed ones will soon be reunited with their families.
The creatures looked stunned, depressed
mirroring the truth of all our hearts
how can we comfort
how can we "make whole"
what can I do?
it is so large
surely there is some little part
even for me
to help in the healing . . . .

Find a FamilyImage via Wikipedia

Many men can make a fortune but very few can build a family.
            -- J. S. Bryan

It wasn't that long ago
(October 3rd, 2010)
That my Pops was saying goodbye

when i had no family
no connection
on this planet
He stepped up and offered me a sense of belonging

It worked
it worked well.

My Pops and i learned and made a difference
first in our own lives
then, in the lives of others.

But, on that day
Pops was saying goodbye
He loves me forever
But from some other place

We were both grateful for the congregation
that adopted me
It's the first place EVER
I belong
Exactly me
It's the first place i can grow, be me, extend myself
be happy
 and safe
and genuinely liked
with no reserve . . . .

My Pops gave me family
My congregation offers me the same
offers me
sukkot shalom
a Shelter of Peace

I miss my Pops
I find comfort in "my" congregation
I hope you have the same wherever you are

If not,
You are welcome to join us

Sending You Love

Looking forward to a time when we not only sing
but live the thought . . .

"Because We Are All Family . . . "

Happiness is when what you think,
what you say,
and what you do are in harmony.

I am the most fortunate lady.
A few months ago
smack in the middle of a dilema
I was offered the opportunity to look closely
and choose again

This brought me a smidgen closer to
brighter, happier, more free
(and safer)

Through the same "speaking spirit"
( same source, same person)
similar opportunity
has arrived

I am thrilled
I need time to listen for the correct answer

If you KNEW you were facing another "fork in the road"
(so to speak)
and that whatever answer you choose
(or whichever direction you choose to take)
is okay
you get to live with the choice for awhile

just maybe
it's wise to sit silently
for just a moment

Since i KNOW I am always wishing you the very best
I am certain you are doing the same with & for me

(which is why i share)

 I'm thanking you now
for the LOVE, Energy, Prayers
and support
you offer
all along our shared journeys.

Today I meant to tell you a little about  how i began to post this blog.
I think I'll begin that sharing in a day or two
(in case you wanted to know)

because one story seems to connect with another

hmmm - is that always the way???

I'd enjoy hearing about your adventures, you know.

Any transition serious enough to alter your definition of self
will require not just small adjustments in your way of living and thinking
but a full-on metamorphosis.
--Martha Beck

Ha!  I am updating a different computer
It's almost time for me to dance around the room,
I thought I'd stop and listen for a moment

An opportunity to attend a seminar in Texas
presented itself
I was completely thrilled to find
the few "SpiritWalkers" I know are all on
"The Same Page"
(so to speak)
the message from each of us is similar
Something Divine

since each - every one of us
care first of all about
the Connection

let's see if posting from "Molly"
is a fun as from the desktop

PS - Hey!  This worked just fine.
I stumble a bit with this different keyboard,
there's a different browser
Zemanta is newly updated
all in all I think this alternate computer (Molly)
is just fine.

love & love to you,
I hope all your adventures and updates are fulfilling

Within every great person is the essential quality of perseverance,
an unrelenting desire to find a way, to seek and find fulfillment.

There’s always a way.
If you can’t find it through the front door,
then look through the back door.
 You don't have to open all of them;
just make the effort of finding them,
and of going the extra mile.
Because that’s what opens all doors.

See where you can pour more effort into something,
and discover how to add elements of perseverance along the way.

From Yehuda Berg:

georgy photos
I know a student who had tremendous challenges sleeping.
He woke up every night

with racing thoughts of worry and anxiety.
 But he made the decision

to turn this obstacle into an opportunity,
and every time he awoke

he began studying from spiritual texts.

He got a lot of answers

to the problems that were chasing him in his dreams,
and over time, he was able to sleep through the night again.

Obstacles are meant to be used as ways to reveal light.
They go away once we make the transformation.
Today think of ways you can turn your challenges
into choice moments of inspiration and revelation.

"Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

(Quote from "Through The Looking Glass" - The Queen - )

In life we don’t get what we want,
we get in life what we are.
If we want more we have to be able to be more,
in order to be more you have to face rejection.
            -- Farrah Gray
(I've looked up Farrah Gray
I'll have to keep reading
because I'm still not certain who he is.
I'm thinking
I need to be more
this quote speaks to me today.)
You can't base your life on the past or the present.
You have to tell me about your future.
            -- Chuck Palahniuk
from the georgy march:
"I am becoming all that's possible for me"
okay, okay - i wish that
I dream that for myself
You can find me working
actively working
towards the possible me
several days a week

other times
I falter

how about you?

I'm so glad we have each other

Traveling with Avram & Sarai

No matter how slow the film,
Spirit always stands still long enough for the photographer It has chosen.
            -- Minor White

"He is remembered largely for his ideas about the spiritual in photography."
First, what a brilliant thought,
Second, I hope IT chooses me.

On Tuesday Evening I attended a talk at Bais Abraham
on Delmar, here in the University City Loop
(I'm in the Saint Louis Area)
It was well attended
the subject  was
Orthodox Ladies saying the Orphans Prayer
How delightful it is to see
ladies reasoning with their community

I was taught we did not count
(or attend) a minyan
minyan - ten or more people needed for community prayer
used to mean ten men
where i attend it means ten people
I shall continue to learn/understand about ways
we/the family of man
connect with the Holy and each other
I shall continue to seek God
the understanding of my heart
in all the ways that call to me

Yesterday all of the educators at school
were given a huge treat
after classes
we were invited to learn about liturgy and law
from one of our own experts
We had the opportunity to look closely
at the Shabbat Morning Order of Service

it was wonderful.

let's adventure into other traditions
in learning about each other
we shall surely turn into
our own possibility

what do you think?

White Rose

Many of you remember the roses on our concert stage -
We invited everyone to take them home,
share them w/ loved ones who could not join us.
This morning i followed a link on a site from one of my students:

this gave me Hope and Joy
to begin the day.
