When 70,000 people cram the streets by Christ Church Cathedral for Race for the Cure on Saturday, we'll be there -- and you should be there, too!
At 6:45 am on the steps of Christ Church Cathedral, we'll gather the crowd for Pray for the Cure -- a 15 minute prayer service to lift our hearts and voices in prayer before we put our feet to the pavement.
When the race begins at 8:30, we'll be ringing the Cathedral bells and we'll be at the starting line at 14th and Olive waving our streamers and blessing the runners with holy water.
This Saturday Morning about a half hour before the race everyone is invited to the steps of Christ Church Cathedral to Pray For The Cure
I am posting this because I met The Very Rev. Michael D. Kinman He was inspiring and I think you're really going to be glad you took time to set an intention for the day, the event, your life by joining him and many others to pray to be blessed.

Only some people get what they want. Those are the people who show up to get it. - - Dianne Houston
Seems our "job" is to 'suit up & show up' - georgy Evening Lights tonight, maggidic commentary, a green husband, the Great Artist, wearing a smock, music, cake . . all this, and you're invited. I'm speaking on Sunday - information is on the calendar page on the web . . . I have decided faith is like my daddy's love for ice cream . . . you are welcome to come giggle with me . . .
I'm listening to Direction and Review - since the anniversary of our smicha (ordination) is rapidly approaching. I've learned a LOT - (some of it rather challenging, but then, that's part of the adventure, right?) I'm trying to believe I can do more . . okay, okay, I KNOW the Holy One always has more for us . . that's why I chose these quotes today . . .
Here's a quick 1st Morning of June Glance at the garden gifts in the yard. Seems I've been transported to Paradise. AND The kitchen window is so clean I thought the glass was gone. Yep - it's true.
I got to go to the History Museum to see the Vatican Splendor Exhibit.
I really enjoyed it. There was a lot to see, a lot to consider. a lot to learn.
I wish I had a reproduction of the painting of Saint George. Do you remember? We met the dragon (Lloyd) at Evening Lights a while back. I suppose that's why, (although I don't know for sure) I keep thinking about that painting.
I've never seen one like it, although I've seen countless works depicting George ("Kadir")
I looked around for postcards or posters too bad for me I only have what my mind remembered.
(My mind remembers a lot - I bet yours does, too.)
Well, I'd like to know how your weekend went. And, once again I'd like to wish you a Very Happy June!
