I refuse to be duped again this year . . .

Rose Is Rose by Created by Pat Brady; by Don Wimmer

Those squirrels cost me a bundle last year.
It wasn't the seed that bothered me so very much.
It was the fact that they chewed through everything.
I suppose the veteran feeder put out super steel feeders with whirling parts that throw the squirrels across the yard,
me, i have chose one bush and I scatter gifts for creatures there.
For now it's what I can afford
and it gives me enjoyment to see so many creatures taking shelter in the bush and enjoying treats.

Oooooh, those squirrels
God thought up a doozy.
They are cute, that's for certain.

You must dare to disassociate yourself from those who would delay your journey... Leave, depart, if not physically, then mentally. Go your own way, quietly, undramatically, and venture toward trueness at last.

This is good, no - great advice for me.

I will fill mySelf so completely with the LIGHT
that darkness simply has to leave.

Happy Studies to us all.

Right On Time

It was a few weeks ago. My name was on this card in a basket.

She held it up, proclaimed where my weakness was hidden and said,
" If you didn't wake up with it, it isn't yours!"
That was a Saturday.
It must have taken hold in my soul because
the Tuesday Morning I woke up singing, my dog was fairly skipping by my side
and all was 'right in the world."

Someone else was having a challenging day and,
when it was tossed to be, I didn't bite.
It was brilliant!

It was as if I'd been handed the appropriate armor for the 'battle.'

It was as if I'd been told the answer to the exam before the test, so I could pass it and go on.

God is Brilliant like that, don't you think?

Chinese security personnel escort the Olympic flame in a container upon arrival in Canberra in Australia, Wednesday, April. 23, 2008. (Rob Griffith / AP)

Guarding the flame. I can understand the wisdom, considering how so many feel it's their "duty" to endanger, capture or extinguish the bright hope.

Here's what I think for me. That this "guarding of the flame" is important to consider. I need to sit and consider the flame G-D has placed inside. Am I able to assist it to burn even more brightly. Am I able to stoke the flame to the point it can be a constant Guide for mySelf and, possibly others? If not, I may need to consider how to guard it, like cupped hands around a spark to shelter it from the faintest breeze, until it can be held gently against some proper fuel that will allow it to burn and eventually blaze.

What will my fuel source be? Spirit? Class Studies? Music?
By cupping my internal hands I protect the flame from - what???? Limited thought? Anger? Fanciful imagination, evil inclination? Ridicule? I think G-D has Protection around me, allowing my internal flame to glow with ever glowing confidence. I will cleave to My Father, Abba G-D, I will bring my flicker to Torah (Teaching) and feed upon what G-D gave us. Perhaps (with G-D's help) I shall become a bright, burning blaze for us all to see - to warm us all.

Please continue to guard the flame.
Continue to Guard The Flame.
Feed the Flame and Encourage it to Blaze.
You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you're working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success - but only if you persist.
- - - Isaac Asimov

It's early, I'm up and ready to go. Chores on a beautiful day. Finding my next wonderful position for the extra do-re-mi that gives me the sense of comfort. But, here's a saying from Asimov that reminds me, doing my real work, consistently, is what is truly required. Perhaps I'm merely running ahead of schedule, and need to follow through with the "Master's Plan."

I'll follow every step along the way and look at it all as a "Happy Surprise" from the Creator of Us All.

That said - What's up with you today?

Garden Gifts

The tulips are blooming right outside my prayer porch.

I love these. I purchased a lot of bulbs from California. These were a "special offer" packet.
I planted most of the bulbs around the door to the prayer porch and some underground beastie, either a gopher or vole, I don't really know the difference, either way, the lovely creature decided I meant the fresh bulbs for a main course in a super banquet. I was sad about it, but the following Spring I had these dandies blooming like wild gifts around the base of the huge sycamore tree where they'd been planted. They really are red & white checkered and remind me of all the fairy books I read as a child.

Good Morning!

There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self.
- - - Aldous Huxley

That's the corner I'm looking to repair - the one I've found mySelf standing in.
There's surely a limitless amount of work to be done - mostly throwing out stuff (ideas, misconceptions, limiting opinions, ego based expectations, all the things that were puffed up with ego.) I reach towards the Creator, King of the Universe. My high hope is, while I reach towards the Greater, All Good I AM, everything unlike God will fall away forever. I wish to look back someday and find myself clean, holy and pure - the way we were all created - and are at our core.

Happy Passover

"Oh What a Beautiful Day, Such A Lovely Day!"
It was the song of my heart the last few weeks of employ - before the unceremonious Sacking.
The song continues. Today is a VERY Good Day.
I have a few chores, then get to prepare for this evening.

Time for
Evening Lights.

I hope you can join us. This is going to be a lot of fun.

The game of life is the game of boomerangs. Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us sooner or later, with astounding accuracy.
-- Florence Shinn

I haven't been to visit in the last little while. I find this statement from Florence Schovel Shinn perfect for me today. I'm in that place where "the rubber meets the road." Last week I was unceremoniously sacked from the position I thought Id be working until this time next year. Well, obviously I thought wrong. So, let's see what my "boomerang" brings back, hm?

I was happy to see I didn't get caught up in the emotion offered at the moment. AND - how super it is not to be angry about anything - that's a personal step. I saw a book cover in an ad. There was a beautiful Koi (fancy goldfish) and a fish hook - and the title was something like 'don't take the hook.' It was some Zen-like thought - but the beauty of it served me well (meaning, I'm not as versed with Zen Thinking. What little I know serves me - ) So, I am looking for a flexible part time position to keep me covered while I finish school. I bet something fun and wonderful surfaces soon.

I realize there re countless others with personal challenges. Some are in situations like mine, some might be concerned. I am holding us all up today. I am remembering for us all that G-D has a beautiful plan for our lives and we will all be supported in our search, in our hopes, in our lives.

I hope we are, every one of us, throwing out beautiful boomerangs today.

All Best to You!

Such A Time As This

It isn't just here, right here where I am staying, that seems crazy.
Look at the flame.
People believe so much in darkness, they try to grab it, they try to extinguish it.
The Flame stands for Harmony, Dreams, Hopes, Desires, Peace -
it stands for Brotherhood.
Why extinguish the Idea?
Why not peacefully be heard and understood?
Isn't it possible the Flame would stand for you, too?
Why not reach for Harmony and Understanding?
Is it possible the Ideal of the Flame could heal, help, bring about change?

As long as we continue in attack mode, we'll never find out,
we'll not experience the Power and Potential in Following the Precepts of Love.

I'm disappointed.
No, really, I had a personally disappointing experience Tuesday.
The people I was trying to bless (empower), honor -
decided to behave very much like the protesters in France
(in San Francisco, too I suppose, we just didn't see as much footage from California.
I have to tell you, as a Californian, I'm glad protective action was taken -
for whatever reason, but - that's another story.)

I realize that my personal situation is merely a reflection of the global mind set.
It wasn't even personal.
It couldn't have been because I was reaching out (with words) to heal and the response,
lengthy and loud,
did not reflect anything about who I am.

No Worries, God already has a plan for all of us.
Thing is, His "Plan A" - which we rarely experience in this world,
would have been Brilliant.

So, Happy Thursday -
I give a toast - a "shout out"
to Peace, Love, Brilliance, Inspiration, Hopes,
To The Flame and All It Stands For.
