Happy April!

Already it's so beautiful out,
I am really looking forward to this month.
Remember this first Sunday is "Spring Forward" Sunday.
No, no, no, it isn't a religious happening.
It's the day we turn our clocks forward.
I prefer the "Fall Back" day - when we get to sleep an extra hour.
"Spring Forward" day comes extra early. It's okay.
We get rain, flowers, wind, sunshine and happy surprises in April.
I think that's worth getting up for.
Don't you?

This is Trilby. She is helping me get ready for story time today.
It's Easter Wednesday today and I'm packing up eggs,
bunnies, baskets and lots of Joy for "my" kids.
I hope your day is equally wonderful.

The Best Day Ever!

We are learning a song from the Sponge Bob Square Pants Movie called "It's The Best Day Ever!" It's so happy - I find myself singing it all the time. I believe I can choose at any moment to have the best day ever - no matter how circumstances appear . . .

Mid-March Promise

Arguh! It was my hope to get back to the garden today. I wonder if the Iris bulbs are beginning to bloom. I took this last week - which was, of course, warm and sunny. Today was COLD . . . and RAINY . . which I enjoy, but . . . . well, let's say it just wasn't my plan. This was the promise from March 17th. Posted by Hello

Mailbox Sightings

It's hard to comprehend.
The mailboxes in our neighborhood were disappearing. I took the dog for a walk last week especially to mail a letter and the last mailbox, the one in front of the Aldi store, was gone. Just disappeared between one afternoon and the next. That meant every mailbox within walking distance had simply evaporated. Then, last week I was getting off the bus at Holly Hills & Gravois and noticed the bus sign was moved and the bench was gone . . . in their place . . . . a mailbox! I'm glad to see it - but it seems weird. Then, we were passing the bank on the corner - the one with the Saint Joseph statue in the front (but that's another story) and there are now two mailboxes, side by side, right in front of the place.

What an odd neighborhood.

Saturday Report

Today is a singing day.
I know it's only been a week, but it seems so much longer.
I hope to see friends this afternoon.
Tomorrow we do a church service in Kirkwood.
I especially enjoy the "picture of the day."
I wonder what the picture will be tomorrow?
I think it will be extra beautiful.
Osa and I are only half of a month into our new schedule & life
It serves us well and we are happy.
Today I am dreaming while looking at two "wish books."
One is a catalog for my mind from the Teaching Company.
What new courses will I choose?
The other is a Nursery catalog.
I dream about having a little cottage with a garden.
Last year I had a porch garden.
Osa and I would sit on our porch in the sky
we watched the day and I studied my lessons.
This year I will plant geraniums.
They are bright and delightful.
They are also cost effective.
I am focused seriously on that cottage w/garden.
What are you actively dreaming towards?

Leprechaun! Leprechaun! Posted by Hello

Good Morning!

I would say, "Top O' the Mornin'" except Saint Patrick's Isn't until tomorrow.
You wouldn't know it by me, though.
I have Lots and Lots of shamrock cookies sprinkled with green for "my" children.

It's time to get ready for "Tiny Tots StoryTime."
I am half-way into this month (the beginning of my "New Life")
and I'm really happy about the changes.

Isn't it wonderful that we are all created to express ourSelves?
It is so spiffy that I can choose to re-arrange my adventure and
"go for it" knowing I am Loved and Supported.

This is terrific fun.

How's March going for you?

Audrey Hepburn

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older,! you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

St. Augustine -

'You have made me for Yourself,
O God, and my heart is restless
unless I rest in You.'

Old Spanish Proverb

Living well is the best revenge.
