Audrey Hepburn

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness..  For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.  For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.  As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

Good Morning!

I'm looking forward to this morning.
Working with Le Remington in Saint Charles
It will be fun, fun, fun
AND
I'm singing

"I'm not lost, I am exploring
Life is an adventure worth exploring
Though i may not know where I'm going
I am not lost
I'm exploring"

It's a song by Jana Stanfield
I haven't done it in a l-o-n-g time

Jubilee!

Posted by Picasa

Here's the Thing.
In the time of Jubilee
Everything is "put right"
Everyone is restored.

(okay, that's simply put - but that's the gist.)

In my life
Things were once purely magical
I was led by Spirit
everything my hand was set to
succeeded

Then, a tiny bit like Job's story
Everything crumbled
Things   Seemed   Mean

It looked as though everything was lost.
It was challenging to hold on.
But, I did.

Now, i think of all the people in the world
who have been marginalized,
brutalized,
harmed in unimaginable ways
hurting

How can we tell them about
Jubilee?
AND, is it a Spiritual Plan
(I say yes, I wonder what others would say)

I also imagine how it might be
a generation of lack
then, in a twinkling
Life is Good Again
Everyone is Restored

It could be
such a change
 might take
 getting used to.

"Suddenly" I have a NEW LIFE
(remember when I dreamed it could happen?)
and REAL FRIENDS

Once a child told she was not wanted
a successful performer who was only valuable as an income to others
but not cherished as a person

NOW
True, Loving Friends
Happy Making Service to Others
(the reason I'm here)

My BEAUTIFUL
"Chummy Chum Chum"
Celebrates a milestone achievement
Just Because

Her actions
and
the love shared by new friends
informs my soul
I have "come home"

Oh Happy Day!

Posted by Picasa

Oh, these have been here making me smile for weeks now.
I wanted to make sure I saved them
SO
here they are.

Family Service was so much fun this morning.
It's great when I see smiles on every face
every age
then we sing
and share
and the world seems bright.

Then, if that wasn't terrific enough,
sing a few songs tomorrow morning
AND
Ride the train to visit a friend Monday Morning.
I hope your weekend shapes up
even better.
love & love,

Studying Voltaire

Bust of Voltaire with wigImage via Wikipedia
My nose seems to always be in a book.

Lately I've been looking for more and more
about Voltaire.
I don't know why or how -
I just decided I didn't know nearly enough,
so I began a deeper search.
Now, he's rapidly becoming one of my heroes.  Funny, isn't it?
When we get to know about a person,
we begin to think differently.
So, I haven't decided what I'd most like to say or share about the search, yet.
 BUT,
 in the process I learned
there is a goddess of Peace.
 Her name is Irene.
Maybe a person can be an "Irene-ite."
Someone who hopes their religion,
philosophy, way of life brings Peace.
  Do you think?

I'll get back to you -

Sending Love,

I wonder what this little guy would say to me?

I have enjoyed a completely splendid day.
I was invited to a tour of a garden, which included
lemonade, cookies, napkins
and some of the best conversation
and personal story swap
I've had in years.

I certainly there's more of that planned in my life.
I hope there's plenty of that planned in your lives, too.

It was a Masterful Garden.
