Life Is Good

Today I feel much like my favorite comic strip
"Rose Is Rose"

I can see God's Hand in Life
All Is Well

Good Morning!
It's raining, raining, raining. To me, this is a very good thing. I enjoy inclement weather. I have long realized I'm a little out of step from the norm but recently it's been necessary to temper my joy because we've had so much rain the region is flooded. Not the Noah kind of flood, but enough to ruin millions of dollars worth of property. Most people seem to not have flood insurance. I can understand that because, first, insurance seemed like betting against yourself, and second, dollars - when you live in a flood plain, flood insurance will cost a lot. Let's face it, here in the Midwest, surrounded on all sides by major rivers and a few tributaries, this is a flood prone piece of geography. The local news gives information about insurance, and about clean up. I'm sure that helps. The media does point out to people, if they get insurance today, it does not kick in for thirty days so, as it continues to pour this week and next, their new insurance will be no recourse this round of high water.

Still and all, I love the rain.

It's Friday. Today I get to do chores. So, I better grab my list and some galoshes and off i go.
Hi-De-Ho to you all!

It's Spring!

Finally!
It's Spring.
This year it's made a memorable entrance.
The full moon brought out the intensity in personalities around me, giving me opportunity to look closely for personal flaws to work on.
We had a lot of rain that caused wide spread flooding in the immediate region,
many people are dealing with receding waters in their homes, businesses and highways.
Yesterday it actually snowed off and on all day.
There were large, fluffy flakes.
It was beautiful.

Yep.
It's Spring.

136 days to Olympics

Very early this morning we watched the ceremony - happening live - in Greece. The Olympic Torch is ready has been set off for it's trip around the world. I long to see it unify, lift, inspire the world.

I admit there are challenges.
I dearly hope we all hold to the ideal
and not allow darkness to spoil the beautiful possibilities.

136 days and counting.

What a brilliant reminder, don't you think?

Happy Day of Rain!

Yes! That's it.

You probably know my favorite comic strip "Rose is Rose" by Brady/Wimmer - Today they have it perfect, don't you think? Someone "upstairs" is having issues with the new weather equipment. Yesterday we had super spring, over 70 degrees, neighbors runn9ng around in shorts. Now it's cold headed toward colder, icy rain headed to sleet - and, the promise of accumulating rain for tomorrow. Not that I'm complaining. It all seems perfect to me.

Speaking of perfect. Last night's event (Sunday Night Live) was wonderful. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series.

Amen

Except, I'd rather be happy, doing something I love
and be well supported

yes, I expect a lot.
Don't you?
